A trade happened in my league that involved the league commissioner and another player. The trade involved the league commissioner getting jordy nelson, Justin hunter, and roy Helu. And the other player got Reggie Bush, Deandre Hopkins, and Jordan Reed. The commissioner used his commissioner duties and approved the trade immediately before anyone had a chance to veto it. What is everyones stance on a timetable for trades being approved?

quote:how have trades been previously processed in this league? are trades normally pushed through by the commish or do they always allow the allotted veto time? in some leagues the participants agree to allow the commish to push through the trade if it is not obvious collusion, that doesn't seem to be how y'all operate though
The commissioner used his commissioner duties and approved the trade immediately before anyone had a chance to veto it. I wasnt happy with not even having a chance to veto it and the commissioner see's nothing to be wrong with it because both people agreed on it. What is everyones stance on a timetable for trades being approved? I thought it was pretty ridiculous that it got approved immediately.

Trade shouldnt be Vetoed unless OBVIOUS collusion. But everyone should have approved the trade being pushed through though. Or the 2 teams that play those guys should be ok with it being pushed through.

I don't really have a problem with it in my league. Our commissioner usually waits until Thursday evening to push all trades through. I requested one of my trades to be pushed too, nobody complained. I think it depends on the people in your league. Are you all friends? I'd be a tiny bit more weary in a league of strangers, but I got a laissez faire (sp?) attitude as long as it's not truly lopsided up the yin yang.
