A question for those with experience working with video in Photoshop

I use Photoshop CS6 on my recent gen 15 inch Macbook Pro w/Retina. I don't work with video in Photoshop very often at all but every now and then I will record a wedding. I just finished working on a slideshow for a high school volleyball team and it is currently rendering. It is maybe a total of 4 minutes long with audio and it is looking like the rendering time is going to be 3-4 hours for a 4 minute slideshow. If this to be expected or am I doing something wrong? The last wedding video I put together was a little over 30 minutes long and I think it took over 10 hours to render. This just doesn't seem right. Any and all advice regarding the speeding up of the process would be greatly appreciated. TIA

quote:I'm with you there. That's a long time. Can you do a screen shot of your export settings? What file format are you exporting to? Specs on the source files? Any other details might be helpful. I work mainly in PremeirePro and no too familiar with editing video in Photoshop, but the Adobe apps usually have many features in common.
This just doesn't seem right.
