to be fair, given the inability of the offense to gain positive yards, we only allowed 7 tackles for loss (including one sack) for a total loss of 16 yards. that ain't something to brag about but, given that the O was piss poor, i would expect those numbers to be higher if the offense suffered as the result of poor line play.

to miles' credit, i think that a lot of you here on the rant are taking this quote to the extreme. the way i interpret what he's saying is that the offense isn't making clear mistakes; they're just not converting. and that's true. there were zero fumbles and zero interceptions. like the others have said before me, if we'd connected on some of the drops and overthrown passes, it wouldn't have seemed as anemic -even if we'd still lost by the same final score. it was harris' first start. he's 18 or 19 years old and didn't have a great game. that sucks, but i think we'll all be really happy about our O production once the light really comes on for him.

the D is the real problem.
