You know, last night I went back to the very beginning of your posting history here and started reading, through curiosity about what the hell makes you tick as much as anything. You have way too many posts for any kind of comprehensive review but I did get as far as a few hundred of them, the majority of which were on the Poli Board back then.
And you know what? I loved them. I really enjoyed your concise, hell - surgical - ability to argue your points (your opposition was for the most part pure NAIA, but no matter). You have some scary-good debating skills.
What was most surprising to me, though, and what impressed me even more was the humanity you projected in taking and defending your positions. Many's the time I thought to myself, "Hell, I actually like this guy!". And not only that, you displayed quite a bit of patience with a lot of the less-talented folks who dared to step into the ring with you as well - on several occasions you explained a not-particularly-complicated point at least half a dozen times to people who just could not or would not......hell, I don't know what they were doing - and, this brings me to the point of this post.
What happened to it?
Fast-forward a year later, and it's like at some point you completely said "frick it" and have chosen instead to spray a flamethrower at anything and everything that moves. While I understand that it can be frustrating to be the smartest one in a room (and I'm certainly not claiming any first-person experience of this, lol), I'd like to say that you're better than this.
I've seen you be better than this.
You'll probably call it "irrelevant", but I enjoyed reading the posts of that ballscaster a lot more. While I understand that "poking the peasants" may seem like fun sometimes, in the long run it really isn't. It proves nothing, and it doesn't make you a better person but quite the opposite, often in a pretty sneaky and pernicious manner.
Personally I'm hoping that you'll move back in the direction of being that guy from last year.
Thanks for reading.
