We had a blast. Had a lunch meeting in Houston Friday so left BR around 6:45am. Dropped the wife off at Rice Village on the the way to my meeting. Finished up around 2pm and met the wife at Cafe Rabelais in Rice Village for a drink shortly thereafter. Went to St Arnold brewery with some friends around 6:30pm. It was packed but they managed pretty well overall. Picked up my parents once they got in town and ate dinner at Seasons 52 on Westheimer and the food and service was great. Then we met my all of our friends after dinner at the Hay Merchant bar. Had a great time there and there was a good crowd there but the service was good.

Saturday started off at the Capitol Bar and Grille in Midtown that my tailgate krewe rented out. Cool place, had live music and it was catered by a Cajun company. My only complaint was that they seemed to be having issues with their A/C so it actually felt cooler outside than inside the bar. Left for the game at 4:30...got in at 6pm, had field passes with open bar/free food so that was awesome. Had suite and field seats during the game and was probably the best game experience we have ever had. After the game went to Under the Volcano bar on Bissonnet with friends to cap off the W.

I was one of the "logistical idiots" suggesting the light rail. Getting down to the stadium was no problem, but getting back was an absolute nightmare. I was one of the lucky ones and got on early. I live downtown and only use the light rail for the Rodeo and the concerts thereafter. I've never seen anything like Saturday on the rail.

By the way, the bars downtown seem to agree that Tiger Nation killed it this weekend. They were all overwhelmed and weren't ready for the fury that is an LSU Tiger seeking a drink.
