Jamarcus had more passing yards, a higher completion percentage, more TDs, less INTs and higher YPC, QB rating, etc., but Flynn was better because LSU won the national title with the same amount of losses?
You missed the fact JaMarcus beat out Flynn over and over for the starting job as well, but it boils down to how one defines a "Best" QB, and the ultimate deciding factor is this case is natty's. no?
Flynn deserves a ton of credit for sticking around and waiting his turn, something you simply don't see nowadays as well.

Absolutely not. If so, it goes back the tried and true question: was Trent Dilfer better than Dan Marino?
The only people that think Flynn was a better QB at LSU than Russell are the biased Flynntards or folks that just hate Jamarcus. JR was better across the board but unfortunately faced the toughest road schedule for an LSU team in recent memory. For your reference, 06 LSU faced:
@ #3 Auburn
@ #5 Florida
@ #8 Tennessee
@ #5 Arkansas
Four top 10 road games in a season, and we won two of them. We probably should have won three, but I digress.

No one is bashing Flynn, but this is along the lines of the general rationale behind the pro-Flynn crowd. He holds a soft spot in your heart because he "did things the right way." He's a likeable guy that waited his turn, and it paid off. A great story indeed, but you can't objectively say he was a better QB. No way, no how.
