Also coming from Galleria area...no parking pass....any suggestions appreciated...

You have a few options and I think it depends on what you want to do prior to and after the game.

If you are looking to go out to the bars before the game in either Midtown or Downtown, drive over to midtown/downtown and park, then take the Red Line on the train to NRG and back and avoid driving to the stadium.

If you are looking to go tailgate you have 3 options.

1) Drive - You will have to pay an arm and leg for parking and may have to walk quite a bit to get over to the stadium. Leaving the game will be a ngihtmare as it is with any large sporting event.

2) Cab It - From where you are, you can always take a cab and spare the parking costs. If you plan on going out in Downtown/Midtown after the game, you can also catch the train from the stadium to those areas and then cab it back home again.

3) Uber or Lyft It - Exact same scenario as above, except instead of using a cab service, download the "Uber" and "Lyft" apps and use the free codes on the first post of this page. That will give you a free ride to the stadium and back to the hotel from wherever you end up after the game (Stadium or downtown).

How hard is it to find cheap parking near the train stations downtown or in midtown?
