I'm going to have to break down and pick up something like AE as well, I do all my gifs in gimp currently and edit frame by frame. The makle-les gif I did a while back took longer than 6 hours.

Yeah, this is the reason I rarely do GIFs now. I use gimp and it just takes too long.
