Yes they do. I think you have cool gig BTW, but don't think Pros should eat 20 spots either. But it is not a cause I am passionate about like some seem to be.
My best friend has consistently been a very competitive amateur for the last ten years in Georgia. He hasn't won the Ga. Amateur or the Mid-Am but has had a few top tens the last few years. David Knoll, a former tour pro, kind of is in a league of his own right now.
Anyway, he made a good analogy for me regarding the levels of play between a good Tour player(say top 100) and your average Club Pro. I am a lifetime hacker myself whose best play is breaking 85. I play bogey golf most of the time. He made the analogy that the difference between a good tour player and a club pro is akin to the difference between myself and a club pro. I guess that five club pros beating Woods would be like five guys with my skill level beating one of the best club pros over two days and 36 holes. It should never happen.
