Last couple of years I saved the drive to the AP and asked Tim at Matherne's on Bluebonnet and Perkins to get my temple meat and provide my chopped veggies and sausage. He carries his store brand as well as Veron's and other locals. The guy I cook with downriver prefers Manda, but I've had better luck with one of the local brands. Murray's in St. Amant used to be my go-to spot, but it's such a haul for me. I haven't asked at Alexanders, but I bet they would be a good hook up (same owners)

A.F. Davidson Hardware in Houma has a nice selection of pots, banjo burners, stands, etc. It's also a nice, old-school hardware store, complete with wooden cases holding tiny drawers of nuts, bolts, etc. LINK /
