I agree Roger. Ironically, I think most people would be much happier with downsized expectations. The high paying jobs aren't there anymore to support a broad middle class like you had in the immediate postwar decades. Something has to give. I think people are slowly awakening to the reality of things. The obsession with material things has reached grotesque levels.

So do I. Maybe craftsmanship will come back into style over mass produced merchandise. I know it's a bit hokey, but I always think of this song when discussing the subject.
