New Jersey bans smoking in restaurants and bars and all public places except casinos because the casino lobby bought off the state. At least now you can eat without throwing up due to smoke.

this was a problem for you before? Most restaurants wouldn't allow smoking anyway. You must have been eating at some real shitholes.

That's wonderful. Good for NJ.
How about a solution that doesn't involve government intervention?
If the American public decides they want to be health conscious and avoid 2nd hand smoke then business owners can adjust accordingly and either decide to ban it or allow it, depending on their clientele.
If the customers demand they ban smoking, and they don't ban it, they may lose business.
If the customers demand they don't ban it, and they do, they may lose business.
It's a win-win for everybody without government needing to get involved.
