No! Do you have any baking soda in your house? If you do, sprinkle a little over the crabgrass, it will go belly up within 24 hours if you don't get rain or irrigate the yard.

Do a test spot first, just to ease your mind.The Crabgrass will be shriveled up and turn a dark green by the next day. It's the best Crabgrass killer there is and it works fast and safe.

Baking soda will not harm St. Augustine for sure, or any other grass that I'm aware of.

i couldnt find much about baking soda's effect on centipede, but its worth a try considering i was about to just use roundup anyway
