Read my message above, but I believe this is regulated by Louisiana law. Leases have to comply with that law. They can't force you to give a 60 day notice if that's not what the law states. I am 90% positive La law is 30 days. However to mandate a rent increase the landlord has to give a 60 day notice to the tenants. I always assumed this is to allow tenants the option to move.
