Bought one of those Brinks and hung on pole at barn. Love it but have already had to change bulb twice in 6 months.
Question is, can I use any bulb in one of those as long as it matches the receptacle?
It comes with one of these:

should be able to read the allowable wattage bulb on the literature that came with it...outside of that, I would see no restrictions on what you could use, as long as it screws into the socket correctly...

Thanks.
I stuck a "regular" bulb in it. Waiting for it to get dark.

I'd maybe look into a LED bulb. They are meant to be used for up to 20,000 -30,000 hours. They'll cost you a little more, but you'll save $ in the long run.

K thanks. The ones that come with it and the replacements are supposed to last for 10k hours. I'm thinking Brinks may be junk when it comes to lighting.

Check out either Philips or TCP. Bring the packaging with you at either a lowes or H.D. and they should be able to cross reference the ideal bulb.
