Seen this happen on several recent teams in our local league. Coaches put together basically a travel ball team to play in the local league. Once they feel they have achieved everything they can they leave to play travel ball. Couple teams have already broken up because some parents want it while the others want their kids to have fun and enjoy their summers.

I personally took satisfaction this year where we kept 3 kids from the previous year that were basically a Strike Out or Out on base every time they batted. This year those kids helped us win games and barely struck out. If it is all about winning then kick those kids off and don't worry about your friendships. If you want to hang with those parents in the future keep the kids on the team but just make them understand that "Little Johnny" will only play the minimum amount required.

Wait, so you actually coached the kids up rather than cutting them loose so that you can guarantee your other kids a cheap and cheesy ring every other weekend?

Crazy.

Crazy.
