It wasnt me that brought up politics. I just joined in and participated in the conversation. I was amazed that less than 25% knew who was Secretary of State, who Harry Reid was, and who was Speaker of the house. Some had heard of Harry Reids name but didnt know his position.
When I was asked my opinion I joined in. The most disappointing thing in the whole conversation was that people with a lack of knowledge of policies etc actually vote and dont know what they are voting for. Just wanted to share my experience. I cant force anyone to vote one way or the other but I can give my opinion. And was sort of surprised by the way it all went.
And yes maybe some just nodded their head, many have sent emails on their own with different articles etc on politics that they thought were interesting.
I would say the most eye opening thing that was discussed was that Obama finds out about most of his direct or indirect reports actions from the news media. Any leader who has to find out big issues from the press instead of his own people has big leadership issues. They had no clue that Obama had found out about the IRS and that the website for his Obamacare program was broken and that it was overspent by several hundred million. Of course they assumed an employee that was so incompetent and cost the country hundreds of millions in overspending would be fired. But we know how that ended
