I'm not insinuating anything. you have a kid that age, right? how many of his friends or classmates have you been around who plot something like this? I'll guess not many if any.

it's a special circumstance, and I think they should be tried as adults. at the very least, they should be in a mental institution for a long long time.

Sorry, I was actually posting that to say "no, I do not know any kids capable of this type of thing". Guess it came across wrong.

I'm basing my statement solely on my on experience in dealing with my son and the other kids his age. and from my experience the average 12 year old is not an innocent angel any longer but from a maturity standpoint they are still very much children.

The sad thing is that that many 12 year olds nowadays are exposed to things on a daily basis that their 12 year old mind is simply not ready to deal with. Coupled with this, the epidemic of shitty parents is only getting worse. What this leads to is kids that are getting their first exposure to things like sex and violence are doing so without the benefit of a good parent to be there to teach and guide them.
