I'm not a Dev so I can understand the disappointment from the consumer side. But I'm just enough of a geek to see the implications of Swift and the other things they did for developers. Ultimately we should get better apps.
ETA: and better support for those apps.

Consumers are going to have to be patient. Alot of new abilities were given to developers today which will improve the overall feel of the phone coming this fall.
