Guys, its a puppy, and the guy we got it from said it won't get over 35 pounds. So let me repeat, the puppy, is not ripping anyonesface off. And yes it was free. I came on here to get tips on raising the dog right since I've never had one so it doesn't do everyone just said

I have one and it is by far the best dog i have had. The guy lied to you about the weight. They will reach 50-55 lbs. max when fully grown. Smart dogs that are loyal to their owners. Very hyper so start teaching your godson how to throw a ball well so the pup will wear out.

If it is an amstaff (American Staffordshire Terrier), 50+ is probably right. If it is a staffie (Staffordshire Bull Terrier), 35 is probably right.

Staffies are awesome dogs; known as "nanny dogs" in England b/c of their affection for kids. But, since it was free, I doubt it is a pure staffie.
