Should be lower IMO. That curve is horrendous.
Does anyone know the reason for such a dangerous and poor design? I don't visit Baton Rouge often, but every time I do I'm just amazed such a road would be constructed in modern times.

There was always a rumor that they aligned it that way so that southbound traffic would have a head-on view of the state capital when heading through the curve. He said that wasn't true, and that alignment was the only way that they could connect the two portions of the freeway, due to existing adjacent properties and the railroad track. I don't know how true that is, but I doubt he would have lied.
Does anyone know the reason for such a dangerous and poor design?
