The first place to start is to get a degree, IMO. Your options are awfully limited without one. The next generation will see even less opportunities with a college degree unless it is specialized in some high demand field.
I have a close childhood friend that did the same thing you are doing. He was a cell phone sales rep in college in the late 90's and made 60k a year working part time selling cell phones. He dropped out of school and worked full time. 15 years later, he had 3 kids and can't qualify for an excellent sales job without the college degree. He has the sales experience and could sell ice to an Eskimo, but his options are extremely limited in getting into the money he wants to ultimately make.
I am upper management in the construction inddustry. I can't help you without a degree unless you wanted to work as a field personnel. That is simply the way the world works these days. Good luck on your journey.
