re: Angry Graduate Just Wrote This Letter To His University.

I was in an LSU Graduate Program that is essentially a PhD feeder program. About 95% of the people in my class go on to the PhD because they have no people skills and teaching will be the only thing they can do.

That 95% also chooses to work for the Program as TAs instead of seeking out Graduate Assistantships with other LSU entities. Those of us who were GAs for other parts of the college actually got really good jobs after we graduated. While those who sucked at the Graduate Faculty's teat and thumbed their nose down at us are either teaching middle school or putting themselves in further debt to get a PhD.
I'm not mad. Just happy that I was able to enjoy myself at LSU and not be that student who looks down on those who enjoy a social life.
