I grew up in Greenwell Springs and came across what I think to this day is a coral snake. The entire time my buddy and I were looking at him, I was muttering Rrd and yellow kill a fellow, red and black, venom lack ala Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade, "The penitent man shall pass, penitent, penitent...."
And then we ran away.

We've had at least one LA Milk and several Scarlet Kings, and after seeing a few of them, you really wouldn't confuse a coral snake for one.
