nope, does not qualify for a pension, and even though the practice squad pays OK, it's pretty much a week to week gig

You don't know what the frick you're talking about. If he can make the squad 3 or 8 games a year I believe, than that makes home eligible for the nfl retirement for credits.

Certain players on the practice squad are eligible for the retirement.

All be it they meet the criteria
