My dentist diagnosed me with it, and just molded me for a mouth guard, that I sleep with every night. I would clench my teeth and wake up with bad headaches from it.
The popping you will live with forever. The dentist and doctor both told me there is no surgery for it, that has been proven effective, they have experimental treatments, but nothing really works yet. Get the mouth guard though, it helps if you get pain in the jaw and headaches from it
