Exactly. And posting to a group of strangers every 5-10 minutes gives the illusion that the OP has a friend that isn't there who is texting him. Perhaps one of these girls at the bar thinks to herself "He sure is texting a lot. What if he's got a girlfriend? If he's got a girlfriend, I totally want to go talk to him so he won't hit on me." Then you hit on her. So keep posting. It's for your own good.
ETA: I feel like I should disclose that I draw my vast experience in the ways of women from a total of three encounters with actual female human beings. That's how I know so much.
