Or maybe he made a too early commitment and decided to take his time. It's like somebody buying something without checking through everything else to make sure it's exactly right for them. The fact that something like this can get a grown man's goat, is ridiculous. you're too invested in it if that is the case. Some people on here act like they've never made a spur of the moment decision and wanted it back later.
I'd venture to guess that over 90% of decommits just mistakenly commit too early. With the friends and family in their ear about taking time, going to see other schools, etc. I mean think about it, how many kids commit more than twice in their recruitment? Usually the first commit is spur of the moment, caught up in the excitement.
