We maintain a few very small plots with clover blends. It takes the heat of the summer and stays throughout the winter. It gets bush hogged and fertilized twice a year.

As for as minerals go we feed protein pellets in gravity feeders January - September to help during antler growing and birthing season. We also keep mineral blocks out all year long (whatever is available at local store).
