I think the BLM is claiming ownership of any lands that are deemed to be in OK along a 116 mile stretch of the river so it's likely a portion of the Henderson ranch along the river which may be 90k....116 sq miles = just over 5MM acres.

But Henderson has been paying property taxes on those lands to Texas. Had he not paid his property taxes on those lands, then Texas would have foreclosed (well, the county, actually, right?), and he would have lost his land. Either way, he appears to be losing his land. So, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, right?
