NO. Freeman is the best hitter on this team, is he not? Shouldn't he then bat 2nd or 3rd to get the maximum number of at bats?

I'm not interested in tying in this discussion with the Votto thread. I don't like Freeman in the 2 hole especially if our lead off hitter is mediocre. His ability to drive in runs is wasted in the 2 hole. If our lead off hitter sucks, Heyward's on base and ability to steal a base still gives our 3 and 4 hole hitter a good chance to drive in runs.
While Freeman is our best hitter, dropping him a spot in the order isn't going to affect his at bats by a significant amount... it's very small. Why not move him to lead off then if we're just trying to maximize at bats?
