Going at the end of may with a group of friends to go fishing and have a house on the Jordan river. I'm not familiar with the area at all so I'm basically wanting to know about boat/jet ski rentals, bars on the river, where to fish and with what, and what there is to do at night over there. Believe it or not google gave us very limited information. TIA

If you have a LA license, go out the Bay and cross the sound until you get to 3 mile pass in the Biloxi Marsh.
If you DON'T have a LA license, buy a LA license, go out the Bay and cross the sound until you get to 3 mile pass in the Biloxi Marsh.

We have a friend that has a "camp" on the Jourdan River. We go once a year. I usually bring my boat and pull the kids and adults who want to go on tube/ski. There is a lot of boat traffic in the river so I have never done any fishing on the river itself except off the dock at night.
One year we did do a little fishing in one of the cuts off the river. Water is pretty brackish so you can pick up a red or two. Get a MS fishing license. MS WLF are always out checking.
I've never looked to rent a boat or jet ski so I can not help you there.
Its usually long days on the water or cooking so I have never gone out except for a trip or two to the casino.
Hope this helps. We usually have a good time. If the house is on the Jourdan River itself there is plenty of room to set up volleyball nets or throw the football. At least at the houses by where we stay there is

Good weather- Go to Isle au Pitre or Biloxi Marsh
Avg weather- go to Cat Island and fish the marsh on the south side (good place to hide from wind)
Bad weather- fish the hwy 90 bridge from east to west starting at the 5 or 6th piling.
As far as the jordan river, keep in mind that north of I-10 bridge you need a freshwater license. There are 2 artificial reefs in the back of the bay on the east and west side that can produce. Maps and gps coordinates on the ms dmr site.
For restaurants- Trapanis in BSL or Cuevas Bistro in Long Beach. For fun atmosphere got to Shaggy's in the Pass Christian Harbor. For a couple beers and a po boy, Darwells in Long Beach is cool. The Blind Tiger is a pretty cool bar in BSL. The buffet at the Silver Slipper Casino in Waveland isn't bad and that casino has the cheapest drinks on the coast but it doesn't compare to the IP, Hatd Rock, etc...
