They suddenly erupt? I'm pretty damn sure the people in that area are well versed on dust storms. Yet those professionals are confused about this particular development?
Not sure what it is, but I'll lean towards the confusion of pros instead of your position at this point.

I have. In fact, I used to live in west Texas. Dust storms aren't unusual.

What is unusual is the radar showing the very moment this "dust storm" erupted near the trinity site.

Here's some advice...take a moment to watch the video in the link that I posted in the OP. Come back and tell me that the plume is a dust storm after you watch the video.
