I was taking the first guys word for it...yeah he can definitely afford that.
There are C-level execs that don't make what he will likely be making. I get that he'll only be earning that for a relatively short period of time but it definitely won't kill him.

And there's the rub...his still non-existent contract won't be guaranteed, he may not finish it out and the avg NFL career is approx 4-6 years. Even at $40k with so many variables out there, just doesn't seem like the wisest decision - especially after running a 4.7 at the combine.
