He will a sign a million dollar contract most likely, so partially true. We all know what he means, why do you have to nitpick?

There's a gulf of difference between signing a multi-year contract that has a total value of 1-2 million pre-tax and "about to be a millionaire". It further assumes he's drafted in at least the 5th round and survives camp cuts and plays out his full contract. If I was him I'd be driving a used Honda until I had actual money in the bank and I survived a year in the NFL.

I would too but I'm cheap as hell

Plus I'm not a car guy, however...

He'll run well at pro day and go in the fifth round IMO. That's $200K in signing bonus right there. After his agent and Uncle Sam take their cuts he can pay the whole thing off.

Him buying an Audi two months before the draft is not going to kill him as long as he doesn't make a habit of spending money he doesn't have.

The signing bonus he'll sign will cover the car

Maybe I was being a little optimistic when saying his multi year contract pretty much qualifies him as a millionaire, but come on

He's going in the second round and his signing bonus will be anywhere from $830k-$2.3 mill. His contract anywhere from 3.3 mill to 5.4 mill. He gets the bonus up front and it is guaranteed so he will be due at least 830k immediately after he signs. Anything can happen so even if he does only play for one year, he'll still get that money from his first year.

For an example, Woods last year was a late 2nd round pick who got a little over 3.42 mill contract and an 857k signing bonus. He was immediately given than signing bonus and was paid an additional 405k as his first year salary. Landry is basically guaranteed to be a millionaire before and after taxes if he is a top 50 pick.

He didn't pay for the car. Why don't you people understand that?
