See, often times this is what happens when I argue with people. It's usually a misunderstanding by the person I'm debating.

I never said he was terrible. I said when teams converted first downs on third and longs, usually it was because Lewis was playing off his wr. Then you came in with stats about how good of a tackler he was.

The one thing I did realize was that, while I know what I saw on specific plays, stats are there to show what's happening on the rest of the plays that you aren't seeing. Stats can show Lewis had a good year, yet not prove what I saw on those specific plays was wrong.

Anyway, aren't you the person who once told me to go back to The Rant, then I made you look like a foolish hypocrite when I proved you were like king of the Ranters?

That isn't what happened at all. You said that Lewis allows players to run freely and isn't near the ball (which wasn't true). I posted QB's stats against him

You said he wasn't good in the following post:

quote:

Lewis had great coverage on one play last game, but isn't close to the cover guy Greer is. Lewis consistently gives up yards to wide open guys.

Getting easy int's on balls thrown up for grabs while in zone coverage late in games when the other team is in obvious throwing situations doesn't make someone a good cb.

No, that isn't what happened at all. I posted the following stats

quote:

QB's have a 39.9 Passer Rating when throwing at Lewis, which puts him at 3rd in the NFL. Greer has a 95.3 Passer Rating against him

Lewis has allowed 1 touchdown this season, Greer has allowed 2.

Lewis has 3 interceptions and 3 passes defended. Greer has 1 interception and 1 pass defended

Lewis has had 50% of the passes thrown his way completed. Greer has 60%

You said Greer is always right on top of the receiver when he catches the ball, unlike Lewis. So I posted the following:

quote:

Greer is allowing 14.8 YPC and has given up 96 YAC. Lewis is allowing 10.4 YPC and has given up 39 YAC.

Greer has given up 355 yards to receivers, Lewis has given up 187.

quote:

quote:
I challenge anyone who thinks this to go back through any game this year and see who is running over to make a tackle on a wr that was open. A large majority of the time it's Lewis.

quote:

The most yards after a catch he's given up in an entire game is 9. That is a total number, not just 1 play

The most yards given up by Lewis in a game this season is 44. Greer has 1 game this season when he's given up less yards

So your post in this thread is also completely wrong. Perhaps you should go back to the rant
