Not that scary when you know it's meaningless.
You just can't really give a blanket statistic without considering the variables - age, education, wealth, number of previous marriages and divorces, etc.

Is anyone arguing that pre-nuptial agreements are not a practical device to introduce into a marriage? I believe that was my original premise, not specifically the 50% number. A central component of marriage is the merging of assets.
