Anyone installed a shut off valve in the fuel line of an outboard? Thinking I want to shut off the gas and let the motor run out of gas after each trip to the lake. Any suggestions?

When I had my 40 Yamaha, I always just un hooked the fuel and ran it until dry.

I used to do the same thing. This boat doesnt have fittings at the end of the fuel line...connected to built in tank and runs directly to engine inside the cover. Disconnecting the fuel line at the launch would be an ordeal.
