I live in Lakeview, and when I go into my office downtown it takes 20 minutes in traffic the whole time.

When i drive to my client in Mandeville, it takes 30 minutes with never sitting in traffic. I prefer the Mandeville drive

Depends on where in Lakeview. Jump on the interstate at Canal, don't catch the West Esplanade light, and it could take 5-10 minutes. And if he's going to just the other side of the bridge, its feasible.
To the OP, I do it every day, but I'm on it at 5:20AM and 4:15PM. Those times are really smooth for the most part. The fog convoys and other delays are a small percentage of the time.
