Sort of, but not really. Corvo always had a weapon in his hand, ready to strike. Garrett, however, is unarmed, for the most part. Being spotted in Dishonored wasn't that big of a deal. You could easily smite any enemy down. There is a much higher penalty for being spotted in Thief, as Garrett is a thief, not an assassian. He can't deal or take the punishment Corvo could. Dishonored basically paid homage to the original Thief games, just putting an assassian twist to the first-person stealth aspect. So, the games play pretty differently because of this. I also feel like there is way more to explore in Thief. The world seems more vertical than in Dishonored.
Thanks, really good brief and not too detailed summary of the comparison of gameplay.
How is the universe? Is it has deep as Dishonored? I still think Dishonored might have been one of the best games in the last 5 yrs. It had a really in depth storyline which was well thought out with multiple characters of influence.

Dishonored really is one of the best games I've played the last few years. Just so many ways to go about things. Lots of replay value

Yeah, the world is vastly more expansive than Dishonored. In Dishonored, you started a mission and Samuel basically brought you right to where you needed to be. In Thief, you actually make your own way to wherever you're headed, through The City. Also, there are so many side quests in Thief. I mean, there were maybe six in Dishonored (Three, iirc, for Granny Rags and Slackjaw). I have found seventeen, so far, in Thief. The world demands use of your physical abilites, rather than in Dishonored where you could just blink everywhere. Just not having those supernatural abilites makes the world seem much larger than it already is.
