I hope there is no tracking of "layups" allowed and number of games without forcing a "charge". Are we that bad defensively or is this going on across the country with the rule changes?

One thing for sure, they are fun to watch on offense.

Definitely not consistent on D.
But the new rules give the advantage to the "charger" because the offensive player just has to hold the ball into his chest to be deemed in full possession of the ball as he drives. It seems like any defender that just " touches" the driver is called for the block or foul.

Most of the new rule interpretations are supposed to be designed to make the game more high scoring and therefore more attractive. It's not working out that way mostly except for the drive/slash strategy. Seems to work. We need to adopt that too as part of our offense.
