The best part tonight was Bill saying, "Name me one Big 10 conference city you would want to live in."
Did he mean the actual towns in which which the schools are located? Or cities in the region?
B10 towns consistently rate among the best in the country and will continue to do so in the future because of the schools they harbor. Madison, Ann Arbor, Iowa City and Bloomington might not be the first names that come to mind when you think about exciting cities. But I've had great times in all four places, much more so than in a typical D1 Football Town.
And while UCLA/USC/CAL/Stanford/Washington all are located in 'great' cities, I personally dislike LA and find Seattle to be perfectly meh.
The Bay Area is pretty solid, no doubt. But, besides SF, I would put Chicago and Minneapolis above any other PAC10 city. C-Bus is pretty bland, basically a generic mid-large metropolis. Still better than a desert wasteland like Tempe, imo.
Boils down to preference, I guess. Chicago's treated me well.
