Stupid fricking study. You get paid to do a job for someone else that is willing to pay you or you get paid for providing a service or producing a good for someone else who is willing to pay for it.

Providing a service to yourself or your kid? Guess you could just pay yourself if it makes you happy. Take money out of left pocket, put it in right pocket. Problem solved.
