Why is it that all the GOP ever pushes for is more income tax breaks? Why not tackle the corporate tax structure in earnest? Obviously if there is a 23% or more difference in the top rate and the actual rate that corporations are paying there is probably some room for tightening up on loop holes. I am no expert but if you can trim that rate down by 23% through manipulation and careful planning it seems like it would be much more cost effective to simplify the entire system....but of course that would not leave any room for lobbying for special interest and favors and that is never going to happen....

Yeah every time the democrats threaten to simplify the tax code, GOPers are always threatening to shut down the govt....

Really how did you twist the previous years debates to blame the tax code solely on the GOP? Drugs?

I never did any such thing. When did the GOP try to simplify the tax code and were thwarted by the Democrats? I will gurantee you it didn't happen....there may have been times when the GOP called it simplification when it was nothing more than another tax cut but the GOP no more wants the tax code to be simplified than they want Roe V Wade overturned or the Democrats want right to work laws to go away entirely
