Yeah I think you are right, there's very few teams that can score a TD in under 2 minutes, I mean it is the 1930's after all.

If you are behind in basketball you are moving the ball around looking for a last shot and running time off the clock, but you still don't give up an easy layup if you have it.
It looks like there will be no agreement on this matter. We each have our own opinions. Different coaches have different strategies as well.
I would think it's a safe bet to say Saban now looks back and rethinks why he didn't go ahead and attempt that field goal inside the 20 instead of going for it on 4th down.
