I would welcome him, Tate or CJ if they weren't too expensive.
I think CSP doesn't call running plays because 1) our line is currently shitty, and 2) our backs are not that good
Sproles is decent in space but has a hard time getting there if he's being handed the ball vs catching it.
PT is a very average back who puts forth max effort. He has a low ceiling but is very consistently average. He has regressed a lot since 2009, it's very noticeable. He is successful on screens but sucks on the ground.
Ingram is decent. 4.9 YPC this year is pretty good, but a lot of it can be attributed to defenses reacting differently with him on the field. He is not a home run threat so teams are comfortable pulling guys back to defend the pass and let the guys up front handle Ingram. If we run (we usually do if he's in) then he will go for 1-5 yards, if we pass then they are good in coverage. That's it. He's looked pretty good this year on the backend but he is not ready (nor will he ever be) to be a premiere back.
I would not complain if we cut Sproles and PT and ran with a good FA + Ingram and Robinson
