IIRC you must have a "room" dedicated to doing FFL transactions. Not necessarily a storefront.

Yeah, but it has to be open to the public for your posted hours.

storefront is not a requirement, but you need to make sure you can run a business out of your home if that's your intent (zoning). ATF will look into it...
I'd also recommend an LLC and the paperwork being drafted by a Louisiana attorney familiar with firearms. I can recommend a couple in the New Orleans area if needed. You may not even need a FTF meeting with them
