Wow, more threads like this please! Actual insight and intelligent back and forths! This site really is pathetic at times but this thread is delivering. Keep up the good work on both sides. Glad to get a little insight on our opponent too. You guys know your Hawkeyes!
I see this game ending up 1 of 2 ways...
1. LSU's offense exploits Iowa's secondary, runs the ball with success, and minimizes penalties. On defense, they play tough, keep assignments, and swarm to the ball (reference the Texas A&M performance). This one is the more unlikely option.
or
2. LSU comes out lethargically, expecting to win and not playing to win, thus leading to a tough game. This performance will be peppered with lots of bone headed penalties, sloppy all around play, and bad or no adjustments. This is sadly more likely to occur.
I see Iowa giving us a good game because they are the polar opposite of us. They play sound, disciplined football and fight all game long. We on the otherhand, tend to lean on our talent too much at times. We also lack a lot of discipline, rarely give maximum effort every down, and get sloppy too easily (which is infuriating!). I have yet to see another team have a delay of game penalty called directly after a timeout or kickoff... That is just pathetic! Hahaha
