Naah, you said in the opening that you are a Tiger. Take pride in that!

You are spot on. After dinner, the waiter will ask if you are interested in a tour of the wine cellar- take the free tour. It is the largest private wine cellar in the USA , and the last time I checked, it is among the 3 largest in the world. It is very interesting. I agree, go upstairs to the desert room after eating. Even if you are full just go up and have a drink-it's a great experience.

quote:Berns is pricey but it is definitely worth the big bucks. The dessert room upstairs is a must, as would be the espresso or port. This is no Outback. Reservations needed. Try to get them in now. I live in Bradenton, about 45 miles south of Tampa. We've got some nice beaches here, at what's called Anna Maria Island. Good fishing and some decent lodging. A brand new major redevelopment of an old downtown hotel has just opened under the Hampton Inn banner. But this is not like most Hamptons you've seen along the road. Easy back and forth to Tampa; about a 45 minute drive along I-275 thru St. Pete.

Back in Tampa - you might want to check out Jackson's Restaurant in the Waterside area of So. Tampa. Good Marriot and similar quality hotels all around there, too.
