Holy Crap! Someone mark this down for a Datty.
I can't remember the Saints drafting an injured player. (Meachem was hurt after the draft. He ran a 4.34 40 or something at the combine.)
The only similarity between Murray and Brees is that they play quarterback. That's about it.
If there's any QB in college that's similar to Brees, as much as I hate to say it, it's Johnny Manzel. Short, athletic, not a huge arm, accurate, gamer and from a wide open offense.

Manziel will not translate to the NFL. He's going to be better than Tebow but he's not going to be great.
I would not want this team to draft a 1st or 2nd round qb in the next few years. We have other areas of need. If the starting qb of any team goes down for any long stretch of the season, you're most likely fricked anyway. I think taking chances on players in a position of need is definitely the way to keep going.
